Story Work
Engaging our stories in Christian community
Story Work offers a way to engage the stories and experiences that have shaped us, with sacred care alongside other believers. At her home church, Ashley started Story Group, where participants work through a curriculum that engages their stories and trauma in pursuit of healing and freedom.
Ashley’s approach
Ashley brings a background in Educational Psychology and Theological Studies, along with training in Narrative Focused Trauma Care (NFTC 1) at the Allender Center. Her own experience of group work helped shape a ministry centered on spiritual formation and healthier relationships in the church.
A place for our whole stories
This ministry reflects Ashley’s conviction that the church is called to be a holy, healing, missional family. Story Group makes room to engage our stories within Christian community and receive sacred care from other believers.
