About Ashley Volk

Ashley Volk holds master's degrees in Theological Studies and Educational Psychology. Her own healing journey included engaging her story through group work in Narrative Focused Trauma Care (NFTC 1) at the Allender Center. That experience led her to start Story Group at her home church, where participants work through a curriculum that engages their stories and trauma, supports healing and freedom, and offers sacred care alongside other believers.

As Ashley continued to grow through Story Work, she began teaching in a range of settings. Her teaching brings together her background in psychology, the training and healing she experienced through Story Work, and her theological education and passion. Her central calling is the spiritual formation and discipleship of the church through healthier relationships, especially in the development of healthy leaders.

Ashley is currently pursuing ordination in the Wesleyan Church and serves as a Ministerial Student at Crosspoint. Outside ministry, learning, teaching, and writing, she enjoys game nights with her small group and time outdoors with her husband of 16 years and their three daughters.
